Expedition to Foligno quite useless; too unwell still to hike 2 × 4 km to BCSNet, I took the train and only walked to and from the train station, 2 × 2 km. For my efforts I got a connection script. I input it and continued getting various errors, crashes and hangs — and in fact despite James now being here, there's no change.

I finally did not go to Rome Thursday and stay overnight; it was cheaper by $200 to get up at 4 and take the 0525 arriving in Rome Friday morning at 0740, etc; and in fact I waited a good hour at the barriers looking vaguely at machine-gun toting police and so on until James walked out, looking confident, fresh, relaxed —
