The map on this page is in the public domain. It is from a 19c atlas of the Roman world. Jim Miller scanned it.
Right now, this page merely reproduces the map; but I am in the process of indexing this and the other maps on this site.
Once this map is indexed, all the readable placenames on it will be listed on this page in a table including: Ancient Name(s), Modern Name(s), Latitude & Longitude, Ptolemy's Latitude & Longitude, Bibliographical Refs in Ancient Authors, Major Websites — and most importantly, a grid reference to the map below it.
Some maps are already indexed now (sample: Baetica, Map 1 ). The Roman Atlas homepage lists the current status of all the maps.
