Served in the Florida War, 1839‑41, being engaged against the Seminole Indians in the Expedition into the Everglades, Dec. 3‑24, 1840.

Resigned, Dec. 31, 1841.

Civil History. — Counselor at Law, Nashville, Ten., 1842‑43. Professor in a Scientific and Mathematical Academy, Nashville, Ten., 1843.

Died, June 17, 1845, at Nashville, Ten.: Aged 27.
