Born Nov. 8, 1826, Fort Hamilton, NY. Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1843, to July 1, 1847, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Bvt. Second Lieut., 6th Infantry, July 1, 1847. Second Lieut., 4th Infantry, Sep. 16, 1847. p342 Served: in the War with Mexico, 1848; on sick leave of absence, (Transferred to 2d Infantry, Sep. 30, 1848, and to 2d Artillery, Apr. 24, 1849) 1848‑49; and in garrison at Ft. Monroe, Va., 1849‑50. Died, July 8, 1850, at Ft. Monroe, Va.: Aged 29. Buried, St. John's Church Cemetery, Hampton, VA. |
