Clark, Tex., 1853, — convoying train to Ft. Bliss, Tex., 1853‑54, — Ft. Clark, Tex., 1854‑55, — Ft. Duncan, Tex., 1855, — Ft. McKavett, Tex., 1855‑57, — as Adjutant, 1st Infantry, May 1, 1855, to Oct. 31, 1857, — Ft. Duncan, Tex., 1857, — Ft. Lancaster, Tex., 1857, — Scouting against Comanche Indians, 1857, being engaged in a Skirmish on the North Fork of Concho River, Tex., Feb. 13, 1857, — and Ft.
