Resigned, Dec. 1, 1850.

Civil History. — Asst. Engineer on Slack-water Improvement of Duck River, Ten., 1851‑52; and on Tennessee and Alabama Railroad, 1853‑54. Farmer, Maury County, Ten., 1854 to 1861.

Joined in the Rebellion of 1861‑66 against the United States,
but left the Confederate Army.
