Served: on frontier duty at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., 1854; and on frontier p583duty as Adjutant, 2d Dragoons, June 12, 1855, to Apr. 30, 1857, — (Second Lieut., 2d Dragoons, Mar. 3, 1855) Sioux Expedition, being engaged in the Action of Blue Water, Sep. 3, 1855, — Ft. Kearny, Neb., 1855, — Ft. Riley, Kan., 1855‑56, — quelling Kansas Disturbances, 1856, — and at Ft. Riley, Kan., 1856‑57. First Lieut., 2d Dragoons, Feb. 28, 1857. Died Apr. 30, 1857, near Chicago, Ill.: Aged 24. |
