M., 1856, — March to California, 1856, — San Diego, Cal., 1856‑57, — Ft. Tejon, Cal., 1857‑58, — Scouting, 1858, — Ft. Tejon, Cal., 1858, — Ft. Crook, Cal., 1858, — Scouting, 1858, — Ft. Crook, Cal., 1858‑59, — Scouting, 1860, — and Ft. Crook, Cal., 1860‑61. First Lieut., 1st Dragoons, Jan. 8, 1861. Resigned, Apr. 26, 1861. Joined in the Rebellion of 1861-66 against the United States.a Killed, Apr. 19, 1864, in the Attack on Plymouth, N. C.: Aged 31. Buried, Calvary Church Cemetery, Tarboro, NC. |
