Top. Engineer on the Survey of the Northern Lakes, Nov. 12, 1857, to Feb. 14, 1861; and on leave of absence, Feb. 14 to Apr. 27, 1861. Resigned, Apr. 27, 1861. p681 Joined in the Rebellion of 1861-66 against the United States.a Civil History. — Farmer, West Virginia, 1866‑67. Civil Engineer since 1867, being employed in the service of the United States on various River and Harbor Improvements since 1878. Vol. IV Died Aug. 27, 1895, at Alderson, W. Va.: Aged 61. |

a As with other Confederate officers, Cullum's Register omits his war record: according to the Southern Historical Society Papers he was Acting Chief Engineer of the Army Northern Virginia in 1863, holding the rank of Lieut.‑Colonel.
