Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1854, to July 1, 1858, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to

Bvt. Second Lieut. of Dragoons, July 1, 1858.

Served: at the Cavalry School for Practice, Carlisle, Pa., 1858‑59;

(Second Lieut., 1st Dragoons, Jan. 6, 1859)

and on frontier duty at Ft. Tejon, Cal., 1859‑60.

Resigned, Feb. 28, 1860.

Civil History. — Unknown.

Joined in the Rebellion of 1861‑66 against the United States.​a

Civil History. — Cotton Planter, near Union Springs, Ala., 1866‑67.

Died, Aug. 16, 1867, at Macon, Ga.: Aged 34.

a As with other Confederate officers, Cullum's Register omits his war record: according to the Southern Historical Society Papers he held the rank of Lieut.‑Colonel in the 8th Georgia Battalion, Gist's Brigade, Walker's Division, Army of Tennessee.
