Thayer's Note:

a I am not absolutely certain the linked grave is Lt. O'Toole's, but the concourse of the name, date of death, and place of burial make it very likely. Only the date of birth is slightly off: if we follow the Register — which, however, is often in error as to the age at death — his birthdate would fall in 1844 or 1845, rather than 1842 as on this man's tombstone.
