Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1864, to June 15, 1868, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to

Second Lieut., 1st Artillery, June 15, 1868.

Served in garrison at Ft. Porter, N. Y., Sep. 30, 1868, to May, 1869, — and Ft. Niagara, N. Y., to May 4, 1871.

Died, May 4, 1871, in Lake Ontario, near Ft. Niagara, N. Y.: Aged 25.
