Military History. — Cadet of the Military Academy, Dec. 29, 1804, to Nov. 14, 1806, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Second Lieut., Reg. of Artillerists, Nov. 14, 1806. Served in garrison at Atlantic Posts, 1806‑10. Resigned, Oct. 31, 1810. Civil History. — Unknown. Military History. — Re-appointed in the Army with the rank of Major, 22d Infantry, Mar. 3, 1813. Served: in the War of 1812‑15 against Great Britain, on the Northern Frontier, 1813‑14, being engaged in the Capture of Ft. George, U. C., May 27, 1813, — and in General Wilkinson's Descent of the St. Lawrence River, 1813. Died, Feb. 4, 1814, at French Mills, N. Y.: Aged 26. |
