Served: as Professor of Military Science in the Kentucky University, Lexington, Ky., Sep. 12, 1870, to Sep. 12, 1871; on frontier duty at Ft. Griffin, Tex., Nov. 2, 1871, to June 1, 1872; and on leave of absence, to Sep. 1, 1872. Resigned, Sep. 1, 1872. Civil History. — Manufacturer, Contractor, Merchant, and Architect, since 1872. Residence, Harrodsburg, Ky. Vol. IV Civil History. — Bookkeeper, Pittsburg, Pa. — Manufacturer to July, 1893. — Superintendent and Commandant of Military Schools, Jan., 1894 till June, 1898. — Bookkeeper, Sept., 1899.
