Served: in garrison at St. Augustine, Fla., Sep. 30, 1871, to Dec. 17, 1872, — Frankfort, Ky., Dec. 23, 1872, to June 3, 1876 (leave of absence, July 18 to Oct. 2, 1874), — Newport Barracks, Ky., June 5 to Aug. 26, 1876 (leave of absence, to Sep. 20, 1876), — Huntsville, Ala., to May 31, 1877, having charge of National Cemeteries at Memphis, Corinth, and Pittsburg Landing, Nov. 10, 1876, to May 31, 1877, — New Orleans, La., Jan. 1‑5, 1877, — Ft. Gibson, I. T., June 14, 1877, to June 2, 1878; at the Military Academy as Asst. Professor of Natural and Experimental Philosophy, p173 June 14, 1878, to Aug. 28, 1883; on leave of absence, to Dec. 1, (First Lieut., 16th Infantry, Dec. 7, 1879) 1883; and on frontier duty at Ft.
