Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1868, to June 14, 1872, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to

Second Lieut., 15th Infantry, June 14, 1872.

Served: on frontier duty at Ft. Union, N. M., Oct. 21, 1872, to Mar. 17,

(Transferred to 8th Cavalry, Dec. 12, 1872)

1873, — Ft. Bascom, N. M., to Dec. 24, 1873, — Ft. Union, N. M., to May 5, 1874, — Scouting in Colorado and Indian Territory, to Jan. 24, 1875, — and Ft. Union, N. M., to Feb. 11, 1875; under orders to report to the Adjutant-General, Feb. 14 to Mar. 5, 1875; and on sick leave of absence, to June 28, 1878.

Retired from Active Service, June 28, 1878,
for Disability contracted in the Line of Duty.

Died, Apr. 30, 1879, at Washington, D. C.: Aged 31.
