Second Lieut., 20th Infantry, June 28, 1878. Served: on frontier duty at Ft. Brown, Tex., Nov. 18, 1878, to Apr. 1, 1879; and on leave of absence, to July 1, 1879. Resigned, July 1, 1879. Vol. IV Civil History. — Farmer and stock-raiser, Missouri Valley, Ia. Vol. V Civil History. — Unknown. Vol. VI (John Leatherman Cox, Born Sept. 12, 1853.) Military History. — Second Lieut., 20th Infantry, June 28, 1878. Resigned, July 1, 1879. Civil History. — Engaged in farming and stock raising near Missouri Valley, Iowa, until Jan. 1, 1905, when he retired and removed to California where he has since resided. Address: 84 N. 9th Street, San José, Cal. Vol. VII Military History: — Second Lieutenant, 20th Infantry, June 28, 1878. Resigned, July 1, 1879. Civil History: — Engaged in farming and stock raising near Missouri Valley, Iowa, until Jan. 1, 1905, when he retired and removed to California where he has since resided. Address: 82 South 10th Street, San Jose, Calif. Vol. VIII Military History: — 2d Lt., 20th Inf., June 28, 1878. Resigned, July 1, 1879. Died, Apr. 18, 1931, at San Jose, Calif.: Aged 77. |
