Washakie, Wy., to May 3, 1882, — and Whipple Barracks, Ara., and Scouting, to Dec. 13, 1882, when from exposure he Died, Dec. 13, 1882, near Ft. Verde, Ara.: Aged 28. a In his AOG obituary (a brief notice taken from the Army and Navy Journal), his first name is spelled Allan; the Official Register of Officers and Cadets of the U. S. Military Academy, 1876‑1879, consistently spells Allen.
