A., from June 17, 1891, to June 12, 1895, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to (Second Lieut. of Infantry, 5th Infantry, June 12, 1895) Served: At Fort McPherson, Ga., Sept., 1895, to Oct., 1896. (Transferred to 24th Infantry, October 1, 1896) — Garrison duty at Fort Douglas, Utah, to April 20, 1898. — At Tampa, Fla., to June, 1898, and in the campaign against Santiago, Cuba.
Killed July 1, 1898, in action at San Juan,
Buried, Hart Cemetery, Hart, MI. See Annual Association of Graduates, U. S. M. A., 1899, for an obituary notice, with a portrait. |
