Walter Hatch Lee: Born Aug. 31, 1878, at Glencoe, NC.​a

Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, from June 19, 1897 to Feb. 18, 1901, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to

Second Lieut., Corps of Engineers (to rank from Feb. 2, 1901)

Served: En route to the Philippine Islands, to April 19, 1901; with Company B, 1st Battalion of Engineers, near Manila, P. I., to June 10, 1901.

Killed in Action near Lipa, P. I., June 10, 1901: Aged 23.
