Notice the little fountains in the yellow border above the main subject. While such decorative borders were common, I suspect these are meant to tie in with the patio immediately outside. Was there a fountain there? |
For now, just a few photographs: wall paintings executed in about A.D. 30 and belonging to the so‑called "Second Style".
