The emperor stands with his hands in the same action as in No. XCIII. Two officers are beside him. One seems to point to the suppliants, while pointing out their guilt. Three Dacian chiefs are before him. One kneels, and the three stretch their arms out to imply submission and ask for mercy. The second praetorian officer, who is behind the emperor, gives orders to the light troops. A third portion of the new fortifications is seen in the background.
