A town on the coast of the Marche: 42°56.5N, 13°41E. Altitude: 292 m. Population in 2000: 5300. |
Offida is about 22 km NE of the provincial capital of Ascoli Piceno and 19 km W of S. Benedetto el Tronto on the Adriatic coast.
Now I have not yet been to Offida, although it is high on my list of places to see on my next trip to Italy; so until then, for further information, you will need to see the websites linked in the navigation bar at the bottom of this page.
Like most of the comuni in Italy, Offida includes in its territory some other small towns and hamlets with a certain administrative identity of their own: as elsewhere in Italy, these are referred to as the frazioni of the comune (singular: frazione, literally a "fraction"): a complete list of them follows. Any link will of course be to some other website out there (so far: found none).
Borgo Miriam • San Barnaba • Santa Maria Goretti
Images with borders lead to more information.
The thicker the border, the more information. (Details here.) |
