Rocchetta is a small village, a frazione of the comune of Cerreto di Spoleto (7 km N), on a very quiet road from Poggiodomo (10 km S) to the frazione of Ponte (5 km N): in the photo above, you're looking at pretty much all of it. You mustn't imagine me some kind of expert on the town: I walked thru it one spring day, and not even thru the center of town, but along that road, which you see in my photograph; for context, see my diary entry of May 12, 2004. On the other hand, there's almost no other information online on Rocchetta, and that explains this little page: someone may find it useful.

There are three old churches to see in town. The one I saw the least of, whose belfry caps the town in the photo above, is the best: S. Nicola has late medieval or Renaissance frescoes; on my next trip to Umbria, I hope to visit it and the two others below.
