Churches of Polino

Madonna and Child: a weathered fresco (16c?) over the front door of S. Michele.

S. Nicola

If this page is on the meager side, it's partly because Polino is one of the smallest and remotest corners of Umbria, with very few churches, and partly because I merely walked to the town once a few years ago on a weekday without even gaining access to the interiors of the two churches I saw. A return visit, better organized, might bag us some more information and photographs; stay tuned, but don't hold your breath.
