LXXIII

Non ego continuo morior, dum spiritus exit;
Nam redit adsidue, quamvis et saepe recedit:
Nunc mihi sic magna est animae, nunc nulla facultas.

Peck:

My spirit gone, not quickly dead am I,
It goeth forth but cometh by and by,
And now I nothing have, and now my spirit's high.

Ohl:

I do not straightway die while breath departs; for repeatedly it returns, though often too departs again: and now my store of vital breath is great, now none.
