Six columns, with two more behind at the sides, front the church of S. Lorenzo in Miranda, which was built in the cella of the temple. It was constructed by Antoninus Pius (AD 138-161) in honor of his wife Faustina, who had died in AD 140. When he, himself, died twenty years later, his name was added to the inscription. Around the frieze are sculpted griffins, acanthus scrolls, and candelabra.
