The beginning of a trip with an Italian pal over the New Year's holidays to Milan and Tuscany.

December 28	My first day in Milan, where like everyone else I fall in love with the roof of the Duomo.
December 29	Lunch and dinner; road trip to Versilia.
December 30	The beach at Versilia and a daytrip to Empoli.
December 31	Brief entry: we arrive in Grosseto.
