Bonely

In one of his less scary moods.

One winter day coming back from somewhere, I was met on my front doorstep by a grey cat I'd never before seen: imperiously meowing to be let in. For the remainder of his life, except for visits to the vet, he never left the house more than three timorous feet down the steps. He died in January 2005.
