Pliny the Youngest

Dalmatians are classified among the Nonworking breeds.

I found Pliny — then a 4‑month-old puppy — roaming around loose, collarless, at a busy intersection near my house at noon; wondering which street he was going to cross first, the 4‑lane or the 6‑lane. He repaid me many times over.
