The Via Appia Within the City of Rome

[image ALT: A slightly curved cobblestone street, 2 lanes wide, with high walls on either side and no sidewalk. One side is in deep shade, the other in broiling sun. It is a section of the Via Appia, inside Rome, just within the Aurelian Walls.]

About 200 m from the Porta Appia, behind us; looking into the city.

I don't have any text here yet, but the map is clickable and leads to all kinds of things. I also have a (rather unsatisfactory) article onsite by Samuel Platner, in his Topographical Dictionary of Ancient Rome.
