Roman Gates

A small two-story city gate comprising two massive round towers with an elegant marble-faced gateway between them, the second story of which includes a passage with five arched windows. It is the Porta Latina in Rome.
The Porta Latina, in the Aurelian Wall, Rome.

If you are really interested in Roman gates, see for starters
this article from Smith's Dictionary of Greek and Roman Antiquities (1875)
which is a useful orientation.
