Served: on frontier duty at Ft. Atkinson, Io., 1842‑43; in garrison at Ft. Marion, Fla., 1843‑44; on frontier duty at Ft. Snelling, Min.,

(Second Lieut., 8th Infantry, July 1, 1843)

(Transferred to 1st Infantry, July 8, 1844)

1844‑46; on Recruiting service, 1846‑48; on frontier duty at Ft. Snelling, Min., 1848; in transferring Winnebago Indians, 1848; and on frontier duty at Ft. Snelling, Min., 1848‑49.

Died, Apr. 11, 1849, near Victoria, Tex.: Aged 29.
