Trumbull, Ct., Jan. 9 to June 13, 1873; as Member of Board, at Boston, Mas., June 13 to Oct. 23, 1873; in command of Ft. Warren, Mas., Oct. 23, 1873, to Oct. 14, 1875, — of Plattsburg Barracks, N. Y., Oct. 19 to Nov. 23, 1875, — and of post of Savannah, Ga., Dec. 1, 1875, to June 16, 1877; on leave of absence, June 16 to Sep. 19, 1877; in command at Savannah, Ga., Sep. 19, 1877, to Apr. 23, 1879; on duty with regiment p225 at Atlanta, Ga., to July 3, 1880; in command of regiment and post of (Lieut.‑Colonel, 4th Artillery, July 1, 1880) Presidio, San Francisco, Cal., Sep. 27 to Dec. 23, 1880; of Ft. Point, Cal., to Mar. 15, 1881; and in command of regiment and post of Presidio, (Transferred to 1st Artillery, Oct. 27, 1881) (Colonel, 3d Artillery, Nov. 3, 1882) (Transferred to 1st Artillery, Nov. 4, 1882) San Francisco, Cal., to Mar. 22, 1885. Retired from Active Service, Mar. 22, 1885, he being 64 Years of Age. Died, July 2, 1887, at Ft. Winfield Scott, Cal.: Aged 66. Buried, San Francisco National Cemetery, San Francisco, CA. |
