Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1844, to July 1, 1848, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Bvt. Second Lieut., Corps of Engineers, July 1, 1848. Served: at West Point, N. Y., 1848‑50, attached to Company of Sappers, Miners and Pontoniers; and as Asst. Engineer in building Ft. Kearny, Neb., 1850, where, from injuries caused by his horse falling with him, he Died, July 30, 1850, at Ft. Kearny, Neb.: Aged 24. |
