Bvt. Second Lieut., 7th Infantry, July 1, 1848.

Served: in garrison at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., 1848‑49; in Florida

(Second Lieut., 8th Infantry, June 28, 1849)

Hostilities against the Seminole Indians, 1849‑50; in garrison at Ft. Wood, N. Y., 1850; and on frontier duty at San Antonio, Tex., 1850‑51, — Austin, Tex., 1851‑52, — Camp Johnston, Tex., 1852, — and Indianola, Tex. (Quartermaster's duty), 1852‑53.

Died, Oct. 11, 1853, at Indianola, Tex.: Aged 27.
