Indians, being engaged in a Skirmish near the Almagre Mountains, N. M., Apr., 1856, — Los Lunas, N. M., 1856, — Scouting, 1856‑57, — Gila Expedition, 1857, being engaged against Apache Indians in a Combat on the Gila River, N. M., June 27, 1857, — Ft. Buchanan, N. M., 1857‑58, — and Scouting, 1858, being engaged in a Skirmish west of the Huachagua Mountains, N. M., Mar. 11, 1858; on Recruiting service, 1858‑60; as Member of Board for the trial of small arms, 1860; and on frontier duty at Ft. Leavenworth, Kan., 1860, — Ft. Buchanan, N. M., 1860, — and Ft. Breckinridge, N. M., 1860‑61.
