Served: on frontier duty at Ft. Craig, N. M., 1858‑59, — Albuquerque, N. M., 1859, — Expedition against Tuni‑cha Navajos, 1859, — Ft. Clark, Tex., 1860, — and Ft. McIntosh, Tex., 1860‑61; and on leave of absence, 1861.

Resigned, Feb. 28, 1861.

Joined in the Rebellion of 1861‑66 against the United States.​a

Civil History. — Banker's Clerk, at Mobile, Ala., 18–––.

Died, Jan. 23, 1876, at Mobile, Ala.: Aged 41.

a As with other Confederate officers, Cullum's Register omits his war record: according to the Southern Historical Society Papers he was Asst. Adjutant-General to Lieut.‑General Indicates a West Point graduate and gives his Class.S. D. Lee, commanding a corps of the Army of Tennessee; he held the rank of Lieut.‑Colonel.
