Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1859, to June 11, 1863, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to

First Lieut., Corps of Engineers, June 11, 1863.

 p868  Served during the Rebellion of the Seceding States, 1863, as Asst. Engineer, attached to the 19th Army Corps, in Operations in the Department of the Gulf, being engaged in repairing the Defenses of Port Hudson, La., July, 1863, — and in constructing field-works about New Orleans, La., Aug., 1863.

Died, Aug. 26, 1863, at New Orleans, La.: Aged 23.
