Head, S. C., Oct. 21 to Nov. 9, 1866; at Rock Island Arsenal, Ill., Dec. 22, (First Lieut., Ordnance, Dec. 15, 1867) 1868, to Aug. 5, 1871, — at Frankford Arsenal, Pa., Aug. 25, 1871, to Dec. 31, 1874 (temporarily detached inspecting armament of fortifications on Atlantic Coast, Nov. 23 to Dec. 31, 1873, and mounting guns in Delaware forts, Jan. 5 to Feb. 20, and Feb. 27 to Apr. 24, 1874), — and at (Captain, Ordnance, June 23, 1874) Watertown Arsenal, Mas., Jan. 2 to Nov. 8, 1875; as Chief Ordnance Officer, Department of the Platte, Nov. 20, 1875, to May 20, 1876; as Asst. Ordnance Officer at Benicia Arsenal, Cal., May 31, 1876, to Aug., 1878; and Commanding Ft. Yuma, Cal. Ordnance Depot, Aug. 15‑20, 1878. Died, Aug. 20, 1878, at Ft. Yuma, Cal.: Aged 37. |
