through Northern Texas, June 27 to Sep. 16, 1866; as Sub‑Commissioner of Bureau of Freedmen, Refugees, and Abandoned Lands, Sep. to Oct. 17, 1866; and on frontier duty at Brownsville, Tex., Oct.‑Nov., 1866.

Died, Nov. 28, 1866, at Brownsville, Tex.: Aged 25.

Buried, Alexandria National Cemetery, Pineville, LA.
