Y., Oct. to Dec., 1865; as Quartermaster, 17th Infantry, Dec. 31, 1865, to Aug. 1, 1866; in garrison at Hart Island, N. Y., Dec., 1865, to Apr., 1866; on frontier duty at San Antonio, Tex., May to Nov., 1866, — Austin, Tex., Nov., 1866, to (Transferred to 35th Infantry, Sep. 21, 1866) Apr., 1867, — Indianola, Tex., to May, 1869; in arrest to July 30, 1869; (Captain, 35th Infantry, Oct. 7, 1867) and awaiting orders to Sep. 1, 1869. Dismissed, Sep. 1, 1869. Re‑appointed, Jan. 24, 1870, with previous rank on the unassigned list, and awaiting orders to Nov. 19, 1870, when he was Honorably Discharged at his own Request, Nov. 19, 1870. Civil History. — Unknown, nothing authentic having been received. Died, July 23, 1878, at Beyrout, Turkey: Aged 37. See Annual Association of Graduates, U. S. M. A., 1883, for an obituary notice.º |
