Griffin, Tex., to Mar., 1869; in garrison at Richmond, Va., to Mar., 1870, — and Raleigh, N. C., Mar., 1870; on frontier duty at Ft. Sully, Dak., Apr., 1870, — Cheyenne Agency, Dak., May, 1870, to June, 1872, — Ft. Rice, Dak., July 8, 1872, to Oct., 1873, except while on Yellowstone Expedition, July 26 to Oct. 6, 1872, — Ft. Wadsworth, Dak., Oct. 14, 1873, to Mar. 21, 1876 (leave of absence, Nov. 3, 1873, to Apr. 4, 1874), — Ft. Abercrombie, Dak., Mar. 27 to Apr. 20, 1876, — Ft. Lincoln, Dak., Apr. 22 to May 17, 1876, — Sioux Expedition, to Oct. 7, 1876, — Camp on Glendive Creek, Mon., to Dec. 2, 1876, — and Ft. Sisseton, Dak., Dec. 28, 1876, to July 8, 1877; on leave of absence, to Oct. 13, 1877; on frontier duty at Standing Rock Agency, Dak., Oct., 1877, to Jan. 8, 1878 (sick leave of absence to July 8, 1878), — and Ft.
