(Artillery School for Practice), May 1, 1869, to May, 1870, — Ft. Ontario, N. Y., June 1 to Sep., 1870, — Ft. Riley, Kan., Sep. 24, 1870, to Apr. 22, 1871, — Ft. Wood, N. Y., May 8, 1871, to Nov. 9, 1872, — and Key West, Fla., Nov. 15, (First Lieut., 1st Artillery, May 6, 1869) 1872, to Feb. 16, 1873; as Professor of Military Science at Cornell College, Ia., Mar. 20, 1873, to June 22, 1876; in garrison at Ft. Adams, R. I., July 21‑29, 1876, — Ft. Sill, I. T., Aug. 16 to Nov. 22, 1876, — Washington Arsenal, D. C., Dec. 4, 1876, to Apr. 5, 1877, — Ft. Trumbull, Ct., Apr. 7, 1877, to June 13, 1879, except while engaged in suppressing Railroad Disturbances in Pennsylvania, July 23 to Oct. 24, 1877; as Professor of Military Science and Tactics, University of Nebraska, July, 1879, to July, 1882; in garrison at Ft. Mason, Cal., Aug. 22, 1882, to Dec. 5, 1883; under instruction at Engineer Torpedo School, Willet's Point, N. Y., Jan. 1 to June 30, 1884; in garrison at Ft. Mason, Cal., Aug. 9, 1884, to Oct. 1, 1885, — and Presidio of San Francisco, Cal., to July 7, 1886. Died, July 7, 1886, at San Francisco, Cal.: Aged 44. |
