Riley, Kan., to Aug., 1868, — Scouting in Kansas, to Nov., 1868, — Ft. Hays, Kan., to Sep., 1869, — Ft. Harker, Kan., to Mar., 1870, — Ft. Wallace, Kan., to June, 1871, — Ft. Hays, Kan., to Oct., 1871, — Ft. Leavenworth, Kan., (First Lieut., 5th Infantry, June 1, 1871) to Sep. 25, 1874, — Expedition to Indian Territory, to Feb. 17, 1875, — and Ft. Leavenworth, Kan., Aug. 31, 1875. Resigned, Aug. 31, 1875. Civil History. — Editor of "Kansas City (Mo.) Globe" since 18–––. Vol. IV Died Sept. 26, 1897, at Chicago, Ill.: Aged 54.
