Served: on frontier duty, joining regiment, and at Camp Halleck, Nev., Nov. 21, 1868, to Apr., 1869, — Ft. Whipple, Ara., to Apr., 1870, — Ft. Bascom, N. M., May to Aug., 1870, — Ft. Union, N. M., to Jan. 18, 1874 (First Lieut., 8th Cavalry, Dec. 28, 1871) (leave of absence and sick, June 2, 1871, to July, 1872, and May 8 to Nov. 11, 1873), — Ft. Wingate, N. M., Jan. 28, 1874, to May 9, 1875, — Ft. McRae, N. M., July 10, 1875, to Feb. 22, 1876, — Ft. Clark, Tex., p125 Feb. 29 to July 22, 1876, — and Ringgold Barracks, Tex., Aug. 23 to Nov. 11, 1876; on sick leave of absence, Nov. 11, 1876, to Dec., 1879; on frontier duty at Ft. Union, N. M., to Nov. 13, 1881, — San Diego, Tex., Dec. 1, 1881, to Apr. 26, 1882, — and Ft. Clark, Tex. (field service at Langtry, Tex., Mar. 4 to June 15, 1885, and at Crisfield, Kan., July 11 to Aug. 26, 1885), to June 6, 1887; on leave of absence to Oct. 5, 1887; (Captain, 8th Cavalry, Apr. 4, 1885)º on frontier duty at Ft. Davis, Tex., to May 17, 1888, — and en route to Department of Dakota, to July 23, 1888; and on sick leave of absence, to Sep. 28, 1889.
