Served: on frontier duty at Camp on Saline River, Kan., Oct., 1869, — Ft. Harker, Kan., to Feb., 1870, — Scouting, to Nov., 1870, — and Ft. Leavenworth, Kan., to Mar., 1871; in garrison at Yorkville, S. C., to Mar., 1873, — and Memphis, Ten., and Yankton, Dak., to May, 1873; on frontier duty on Yellowstone Expedition, to Sep., 1873, being engaged in the Fight, Aug. 11, 1873, at the Big Horn, — and Ft. Rice, Dak., to Apr. 12, 1874; and on leave of absence, to July 12, 1874.

Dropped, July 12, 1874.

Civil History. — Unknown, nothing authentic having been received.

Drowned, about Dec. 26, 1881,​a at Toronto, Can.: Aged 35.

Buried, Carrville Cemetery, Vaughan, ON (Canada).
