Served: in garrison at Ft. Preble, Me., Oct. 1, 1870, to Apr. 22, 1873, — Ft. Monroe, Va. (Artillery School for Practice), May 1, 1873, to May 1, 1874, — Ft. Preble, Me., June 4, 1874, to Dec. 24, 1875, — and Ft. Barrancas, Fla., Jan. 2 to Mar. 3, 1876; as Professor of Military Science at Western University of Pennsylvania, to Aug., 1876; at the Military Academy as Assistant Professor of Law, Aug. 30, 1876, to Aug. 28, 1878, — of Geography, History, and Ethics, Aug. 28, 1878, to Aug. 28, 1880, — and Assistant Instructor of Artillery Tactics, Mar. 30 to Apr. 9, 1878; in garrison at Atlanta, Ga., Nov. 25, 1880, to Oct., 1881; and on sick leave of absence to Oct. 29, 1881. Civil History. — Author of "Treatise on Military Law," 1879. Died, Oct. 29, 1881, at Summit, N. J.: Aged 32. |
