Served: in garrison at Alcatraz Island, Cal., Sep. 30 to Oct. 25, 1871, (Transferred to 8th Cavalry, Oct. 8, 1871) — Ft. Union, N. M., Nov. 3, 1871, to Mar. 4, 1872, — and Ft. Bascom, N. M., to June 20, 1872; and on leave of absence, to Aug. 31, 1872. Resigned, Aug. 31, 1872. Civil History. — Counselor at Law, Little Falls, N. Y., 1873‑75; at Johnstown, N. Y., 1876‑82; and at New York city since 1884. Major of Engineers in the Egyptian Army, Jan. 2, 1875, to Dec. 31, 1876. Deputy Attorney-General of the State of New York, Jan. 1, 1882, to Jan. 1, 1884. Lieut.‑Colonel, N. Y. Militia, 1887. Vol. IV Civil History. — Lawyer, New York City. Died, July 12, 1900, at New York City: Aged 54.
