Born Mar. 25, 1850, Erie, PA.a Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1867, to June 12, 1871, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Second Lieut., 5th Cavalry, June 12, 1871. Served: on frontier duty at Camp McDowell, Ara., Nov. 27, 1871, to Jan., 1872, — Scouting, to June 26, 1872, — and Camp Crittenden, Ara., and Scouting against Apache Indians, to Aug., 1872, being engaged in the Fight at Davidson's Cañon, Ara., where he was Killed, Aug. 27, 1872: Aged 22.
